How quickly can you get to me?
Our average response time is 45 minutes across Wakefield and West Yorkshire. Longer distances depend on traffic and road conditions — we'll give you a realistic ETA on the call, not an optimistic one.
Are you insured?
Yes. WS Recovery is fully insured, including goods-in-transit and public liability cover, so your vehicle is protected while it's on our truck.
Do you hold an operator's licence?
Yes — an operator's licence is in place for our recovery and transport work.
What vehicles can you move?
Cars, vans and light commercials up to 3.5 tonnes, including non-runners, accident-damaged vehicles, low-clearance cars and vehicles with no keys or flat batteries.
How much does recovery cost?

Do you charge extra for nights and weekends?
Out-of-hours and emergency jobs carry a clearly stated surcharge that's shown in your quote breakdown before you book. Nothing is added afterwards.

Can you recover a vehicle without keys?
Yes. We carry the kit to winch and load non-runners, seized vehicles and vehicles without keys, including from tight driveways and multi-storey car parks where access allows.
Do you cover motorways?
Yes, we recover from motorways and A-roads. If you're on a live carriageway, get behind the barrier first and call 999 or use an emergency phone before calling us.
